“Language of Letting Go” is heavily influenced by the opening of Mahler's Symphony No. 3. The drama evoked by this mighty horn call inspired this theme to be reinvented and reworked. It is easy in everyday life to dramatize minute ideas and things and hold on to feelings of anger and resentment. It is much harder to accept what is not in one's control and to let go, allowing happiness. The perspective of what holds value to an individual is a phenomenon that can only be experienced, not managed. This piece encapsulates that notion.
